A well-written story of a strong black man and his wonderful family ! But, I am afraid, not about the Chef (as in culinary artistry and ability) but about his life, honest, bone-braking and cruel people in high places who tried to ruin his health and that of his Mom and family. I was hoping to find the relevant story about Mr. Andre Rush being the Chef Cook for the First Family of USA, but he only glazed over the fact in one sentence.
I strongly believe, this should be the Title of this "work" by Peter Osborn, It is such an absurd and nonsense, from the beginning to the end ! What this person is saying (and advising to others is: stop eating (pretty much everything...for about 5-10-15 days, to be rid of any inflammation, pains and sickness... Yeh, you'll be dead by the end of this trial, anyway. Please do yourself a favor and Do NOT read this.
While very kind, gentle and helpful work, the book by Becky Kennedy is too repetitious, not well grammatically written. Other huge minus (in my view) is that her other publications: "My truck" and one other are total repeat of the "Good inside".
This novel is almost completely copy of the great Danielle Steel's novel "The House". Only rather very poorly written: grammatically and stylistically ! Which both makes it hard to read if you consider yourself an intellectual and avid reader growing up in Europe...,enjoying fine literature and the language. It just feels like a slap in the face. For me, the language in spoken and written texts is the essence of pleasure and enjoyment. That is why I do not suggest this particular volume of my favorite (otherwise) woman-author.
100 % outdated, and inappropriate for most adults with long-term chronic illnesses. both concerning "skipping" breakfasts and etc. I do not advice this material to anyone !
