The book is not based on factual data, facts or real happenings. Otherwise there would be asteric ** signs referring to legitimate sources. Which are non-existent in this "work". It's overall boring, repetitive and totally one-sided. I do not recommend this Fiction to anyone, in any side of politics.
I am just beginning to read this and finding the narrative extremely not interesting, style and writing incompetent and having too many grammatical errors, as well. As if the book wasn't worked on by a professional editor....The plot, described on the jacket of the book, promises so much interest and adventure, but so far delivers none... The story line gets better towards the middle of the novel, though and ends well, with sad and good notes when the couple is in their late years...But I still do not recommend it. I am reading the Hardback copy of it.

Then one day Sacramento in North California is hit by massive earthquake...And while her mansion is not harmed, other houses on her street are all damaged to some extent. Meredith opens her doors immediately without a moment of hesitation to all of them...and the new journey begins. Some of them easy and vibrant, and some- are hard to stomach and understand. But at the end, the friendships form and the earthquake, human and in nature pass. I recommend this novel to all, especially - to women in bad relationships.
WHILE not super believable, the story is told well and our heroine - Eileen- who first trusted her husband Paul always about his late night work schedule, sees for herself, that he lies to her... And after so many years of living for him and for their children, she tries to feel needed and free for herself and for the society by looking for a new professional venue she would enjoy... I've liked reading this book very much and suggest it to young and older women (and maybe even men) everywhere.
